Meeting up with the Milks

April 8th, 2009

My oldest friend is Mia, who lives in Texas. I didn’t really remember her at first but we got along swell. I think I’ll remember her from now on. She has a new brother named Nicolas, who she blogs about on her own blog.

Here’s a little video of us in the park:

Texas, Spring 2009!

March 31st, 2009

The week before my 17-month birthday (yes, everyone should celebrate their birthday every month!), we headed to Texas to visit my Texas grandparents. We call it the Taylor Manor Manor because they live in Manor, Tex. (And for all you non-Texans, that’s Mānor, which sounds like zānier). Their house is, like, a gazillion times bigger than my house. I LOVED it! Lots of place to run around, lots of new things to get into and knock over and, my favorite, lots of outdoor space to roam.

It’s my second trip and my mee-mah and pop-pop (yes, I have new names for them now that I can “talk”) could barely recognize me since they last saw me on my birthday. I’m completely different — I laugh, I dance, I sing, I even can wave bye-bye!

My first year… in video!

February 16th, 2009

Mommy made this video for all the people who don’t want to wade through the first year of the blog. She meant to have it done by Nov. 6, but got sidetracked with taking care of me :)

Enjoy:

Meet Widget, the dancing girl (!!)

February 8th, 2009

I haven’t been blogging much since I learned how to walk. I’m keeping everyone a little busier these days. Just to keep them on their toes, I’ve already moved on from walking, now I’m dancing!

My second Chinese New Year, part 1

January 24th, 2009

Remember what I looked last year at Chinese New Year? I’m a big girl now and my cheong-sum fits, mostly. And I have more hair, and can walk, and “talk,” and play the piano. This year, Auntie Karen’s family cooked a big feast for us. But I only got to eat noodles. Good thing I like noodles!

Having fun in the bath

January 15th, 2009

If you know me, you know I’ve always been a fan of bath time. I even know what “bath” means when someone says it and I run to the bathroom. Mommy and Daddy try to remember to spell it out when discussing it. It’s also part of my routine to pee standing outside the tub before every bath. Even when they try to get me too pee in the toilet or wait around until I pee — I don’t! I wait until I’m right outside the tub then pee! This video is private, to see it you’ll have to register at viddler.com and become my “friend” on the site.
