My last trip to Texas for free
My parents can’t believe they’re going to have pay full price for me on my next trip to Texas. Face it! I’m a big girl right now and way to squirmy to sit on a lap for 3 hours!
Being almost two in Texas is great fun because everyone thinks I’m the cutest thing around and they buy me lots of presents and cute clothes and toys. Plus they read to me and entertain me for hours and hours. Thank you everybody!

When I visit Texas, I get to do whatever I want, including wear all the blingy jewelry from my grand aunties. So pretty! Aunt Bama (that’s Bama like Grandma, not Obama), gave me all her jewelery for the day. After my public showing, I gave them back to her, just like the actresses on Oscar Night give their jewelery back.
Yes, they do have beaches in Texas — with dead fish (eek!)
Mommy scared of dead fish. Wouldn’t you be too?

Happy Easter 2009!

Easter continues for me…

My first Easter egg hunt. Mee mah even got me a new outfit. It was a little bit cold though so I got to wear my cute tulip cardigan that Kong Kong gave me. Thanks!

Sad day at the lake… there’s no more water! Well, not enough for me to go swimming in. I went to visit the dock anyway to look for treasures. We found several old beer cans, a massive tree stump and clam shells.
It’s a big difference from when I last visited the lake in June 2008, when I was a wee 7-months old. Now I’m 17 months old! Remember that trip? (Image on right…)Â
So… because there was not much water in the lake, we got to go into town. Burnett was having its annual BlueBonnet festival but there weren’t very Bluebonnet-related merchandise. But I found some puppet friends. Mommy wouldn’t buy them for me
And we went shopping. That’s where I got these styling hot-pink glittery sunglasses and shiny pink hair clip. Actually, my auntie Natalie bought them because they were having a clearance on ‘High School Musical’ junk. She tried to keep giving me the ‘I love Troy’ headband but I opted for the shiny stuff instead.

My oldest friend is Mia, who lives in Texas. I didn’t really remember her at first but we got along swell. I think I’ll remember her from now on. She has a new brother named Nicolas, who she blogs about on her own blog.
Here’s a little video of us in the park:

The week before my 17-month birthday (yes, everyone should celebrate their birthday every month!), we headed to Texas to visit my Texas grandparents. We call it the Taylor Manor Manor because they live in Manor, Tex. (And for all you non-Texans, that’s MÄnor, which sounds like zÄnier). Their house is, like, a gazillion times bigger than my house. I LOVED it! Lots of place to run around, lots of new things to get into and knock over and, my favorite, lots of outdoor space to roam.
It’s my second trip and my mee-mah and pop-pop (yes, I have new names for them now that I can “talk”) could barely recognize me since they last saw me on my birthday. I’m completely different — I laugh, I dance, I sing, I even can wave bye-bye!Â

When I met Li’l Poz the first time, he wasn’t saying much. Now he’s out and about and has his own website. Welcome to the world Li’l Poz. He’s the son of Daddy’s younger cousin Shelly and her husband Jonathan.
